Your privacy matters to us, and so do the photos you trust us with, which are often photos of children. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. The data controller is Ma Jie, an individual operating EraseBunny ("we," "us," or "our"). For privacy questions, email support@erasebunny.com.
The short version
- Uploaded photos, videos, and results are deleted automatically within 24 hours.
- We never use your photos or videos to train AI models.
- We don't sell your personal information, and we never use your photos or videos for ads.
Information we collect
Photos and videos you upload. We store your photos, videos, and the processed results on a server we operate only long enough to deliver them to you, and no longer than 24 hours. To remove the watermark, each photo or video is sent to one of our third-party AI image-processing providers, which processes it and returns the result. These providers may use your files only to produce your result.
Account information. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture.
Purchase information. Payments are processed by our merchant of record, Waffo Pancake. We receive your order details and subscription status, but we never see or store your full card number.
Usage information. We collect basic analytics, such as pages visited, device type, and approximate location from your IP address, to understand how the Service is used and to prevent abuse. We use Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, and Cloudflare Turnstile for this. Clarity records how visitors interact with our pages, such as clicks, scrolling, and mouse movement, to help us improve the site; your photos and videos are hidden from these recordings and aren't captured. When you're signed in, we tag your recordings with a short code derived from your account ID so we can match them to your account when looking into problems. We never send your name or email address to Clarity. We turn off Google Analytics' advertising features. Clarity uses first- and third-party cookies, and Microsoft may use the data it collects for its own purposes, including advertising, as described in the Microsoft Privacy Statement. We also record the first page you visited on our site and the website or campaign that sent you there, and link it to your account when you sign in, so we can understand how people find us. To limit free credits to one set per person, we set a cookie with a random device ID when you first visit and store a one-way hash of your IP address, not the address itself.
How we use information
- To process your photos and deliver results
- To manage your account, credits, and subscription
- To prevent fraud, spam, and abuse of free credits
- To improve the Service and fix problems, including occasionally emailing you to ask about your experience (just reply to let us know if you'd rather not hear from us)
- To respond to support requests and legal requests
Service providers
We share information only with providers that help us run the Service, under contracts that limit how they can use it:
- AI image-processing providers: processing the photos and videos you upload
- Cloudflare: hosting, security, and network delivery
- Neon: account and order database
- Waffo Pancake: payment processing and tax compliance
- Google: sign-in and analytics
- Microsoft: site usage analytics (Clarity)
We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights and users.
Where your information is processed
We and some of our providers operate outside the United States. Your photos may be processed on servers located outside the United States. We use these providers only to deliver the Service, and we keep photos only as long as described above.
Children's privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Parents often upload photos of their children, such as school portraits. We process those photos only to provide the Service and delete them within 24 hours. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, contact us and we'll delete it.
Your California privacy rights
If you live in California, the CCPA gives you the right to:
- Know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose
- Request deletion of your personal information
- Correct inaccurate personal information
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (we don't sell it)
- Not be discriminated against for exercising these rights
Clarity's cookies may count as "sharing" under California law. To opt out, turn on Global Privacy Control (GPC) in your browser. When we receive a GPC signal, we don't load Clarity.
To make a request, email support@erasebunny.com from the address on your account. We'll respond within 45 days. Residents of other states with similar privacy laws can make the same requests.
Data retention
- Photos and results: deleted within 24 hours
- Account data: kept while your account is active and deleted within 30 days after you ask us to close it
- Order records: kept as required for tax and accounting purposes
Security
We encrypt data in transit and at rest and limit access to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, but we work hard to protect your information.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you by email.
